SIWA is a non-profit organization, and 100% staffed by non-paid volunteers, who are the driving force behind every step of each SIWA social event and welfare program. This special group of SIWA members put the time and effort to plan, organize, and co-ordinate SIWA and our social gathering. They bring enthusiasm, joy and expertise to the table, so we all can enjoy the memorable moments of the wide variety of activities, whether it’s the signature Bazaar, the annual Charity Gala, a special tour or a regular coffee morning.
We are thankful to our volunteers, who continually carry out our mission to create a community through these experiences, friendships and philanthropic projects.
The SIWA Executive and Standing Committee provides an excellent opportunity to get behind the scenes and look at our operations in a more holistic way. It is a place where you can share your skills, expertise and drive our initiatives towards achieving our goals.

Sunghwa Han
PRESIDENT
Sunghwa, our current President, joined SIWA in 2016. She has a great deal of experience in musical and creative arts and is a sincere advocate for philanthropy.
Lavinia Phey
VP OPERATIONS
Lavinia moved to Seoul with her husband in 2020 and joined SIWA in 2021. Being a first-time trailing spouse, she actively seeks company from like-minded people.
Sejung Jang
VP FUNDRAISING
Sejung joined SIWA in 2017 and she has been an active member of the book club, fundraising events and is currently the Fundraising VP.
Nora Gyuris
VP BRAND COMMUNICATIONS/PHOTOGRAPHER
Nora joined SIWA in 2018. She has vast brand marketing and communication experience and is passionate about photography and yoga.
Pat Wu
TREASURER
Pat joined SIWA in December 2020 as one of our Treasurers. She has a great interest in charitable work and is actively involved in fundraising.

Deepti joined SIWA in May, 2022 as part of the Brand Communication & Leadership Team. She is a true advocate of peace, non-violence, philanthropy work and social responsibility, which are at the heart of SIWA.
Yashu Sitani
hospitality chair
Yashu is SIWA’s Hospitality Chair, since joining our organization in 2022. She is passionate for traveling and engaging with new people, while contributing to our society.
Bockhee Lee
CULTURAL CONNECTION COMMITTEE CHAIR
Bockee joined SIWA in 2004. She is a passionate, long standing member with extensive experience in many constituents of the organization. Currently she is our Cultural Connections Committee Chair.
Yashoda Pradhan
Special Event Chair
Yashoda fulfils the Special Event Chair role at SIWA since joining in May, 2022. She has immense experience working with and for women, which deepened her belief in the strength of women and of community.
